Im home now, a little more disillusioned and disappointed, but a lot more determined too. God instructed us to love each other as I have loved you. If one single person read my posts and felt bad that this man was laying in a funeral home all alone, I hope you remember Gods direction in your future. I am no one special. I dont need the pats on the back, nor do I need thanks for doing what I do. I do it for my Lord and for my brothers and sisters, not for kudos or recognition. It was my complete honor to stand for him today. I hope that somewhere, somehow, he will know that he is not forgotten. One lone Veteran came in today, and his perfect salute had me feeling proud and tearful. I treasured his handshake. And one blessed coworker came and sat with me for an hour. God bless you Christy Ottsman and Roscoe Stephen! You stood for a country today. Joseph Ray Moore will be buried tomorrow with the Military honors he deserves. Heritage-Funeral Home in Columbia TN has treated him respectfully and lovingly. They also found out today that he had a sister that he had lost touch with several years ago. She called and they spoke with her for a good long time. She is not able to travel here for the funeral, so I will be standing for her tomorrow. God speed Soldier.
