Im hot, Im cranky and Im about to vent........... Dogs are not ping pong balls. You cant keep changing your mind, No I dont want this dog......Im sorry, I really miss my dog and I want her back......On second ( or is it third ) thought, never mind, you can have her. @^**%##^^&()*^$@! Zoe doesnt deserve to be neglected, mistreated and abandoned. But in her 6 years, thats exactly what has happened. Her breeder fed her crap dog food. (Beneful is one of the worse foods on the market) Crappy food can cause all kinds of health issues. In Zoes case, massive ear and eye infections which has led to very poor eye sight and her being almost deaf. In spite of all this, Zoes temperament has remained stellar. Last week Zoes owner called us because they could no longer care for her the way she needed. So we went to pick her up. Because her eyes were so infected, we took her to the Vet right away. Withing 3 days, Zoes eyes started to clear up and it was obvious she was feeling MUCH better. I called her previous owner to let them know how she was doing......and the woman broke down in tears. She said her Vet said there was nothing that could be done to help Zoes eyes and ears and that she would have to live like this for the rest of her life. She wanted her dog back, I felt sorry for her, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and we took Zoe back with directions on how and when to give Zoes medicines and what brand of dog food to start feeding her. A happy ending for all involved, Right? Today I came home from work to a message on the answering machine. We just cant handle Zoes medications and we really hate to do this, But could you please come get her? WTF...... So we are putting Zoe back up for adoption. Please, if you cant give a dog your love and devotion for their entire life, dont get a dog. Zoe is one of those special girls that has a smile on her face all day long. She has that special kind of magic to melt a humans heart. Zoe will require a special limited ingredient dog food. When her eyes and ears are cleared up, she will require liquid tears a few times a day for the rest of her life. And because of Zoes limited eyesight and poor hearing, she likes to walk right by your side at all times. Wont you open up your heart and home to Zoe?
