Im in shock. I called the City of Ottawa yesterday, late on a Friday afternoon, to tell them that my composting bin was damaged and needed replacing. This morning, THIS SATURDAY MORNING, I opened my garage door to behold a shiny, brand new composting bin on my driveway. I hadnt even gotten around to leaving the old one outside as requested. As a transplant from the land of perpetual people-eating potholes (also known as Montreal) I dont know how to process this. Ottawans are also supernaturally friendly, like those mythical friendly, helpful Canadians you see in American sitcoms and Michael Moore movies. Oh my God. I just realized. Im living in a parallel universe!!! Help!!!
