Im in the car with my daughter and my infant grandson and my daughter plays this song....its a trubute to Mike Brown and the Ferguson incident! All we wanna do is take the chains off, all we wanna do.is be free! I almost cried when I looked in the rear view mirror and I saw my baby bird attending to her son with undying love......knowing that she could very easily under this system be a mother grieving over the loss of her beautiful black son.....his life could be taken for that very reason, that he is black and beautiful! We must realize that we are alone in this fight...America wants us to believe that this young beautiful black man was willing to give up his life for a box of cigars, or that the alleged crime he committed warranted the death penalty and a public execution. I am scared for my baby girl and her first born son, and everyone close to me with black children! Please understand your white friends whether they mean well or not will never understand the desire for freedom....simply because they have never been stripped of their liberties!
