Im incredibly sad to hear today of another young man, 18 years taking his own life. While I didnt know him, my daughter did, mentoring him at University. She is utterly shocked and because its a subject close to my heart Im incredibly sad. Theres a belief that the very idea of being a man equates to dealing with your stuff alone - that somehow reaching out means your weak, hopeless, less masculine - as a result male suicides are through the roof. When will we teach our boys, our youth, its ok to cry, its ok to be sensitive instead of telling them to man up which equates to bottle up. Enough....we MUST change the way we educate our boys.
