Im interested in how the concept of competition is being used to justify Education Reform from the Carter School movement to the new emphasis on teaching our children Grit, Tenacity and Perseverance. I have not seen a finalization of the draft report that came out in Feb 2013 and it seems like this draft has been removed from official US Dept of ED sites. I have a copy in my files but I have not seen much commentary on it from quarters where I would expect to see resistance come from. For example, these three qualities are being promoted for becoming an integral part of our education system as necessary characteristics needed to build students competitiveness (for the global market).
