Im just curious how Estes Park got stuck with Baja Broadband. Was this a decision of a town board? Unfortunately we have had them as our internet service provider since December, and not one single day have we had the service that we were promised or have paid for. We have been repeatedly lied to about what the problems are, what is going to be done to correct them, and when it would be done. We have been repeatedly lied to that their management would call us to try to correct the problems, and that hasnt happened. They have repeatedly lied to us about what they were going to charge us, and when. One technician lied to us and told us it was a problem with our computers, so we went and got different computers which we really couldnt afford to do, and then they had the same problems because we had been lied to. For the last couple of weeks it has gotten much worse. Today a technician came out and checked everything out again, and when he was done he said Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I have verified that there really is a problem in our service. The bad news is that were not going to fix it. There is too much noise in the line, because of the horribly inferior quality of electronics that baja uses to transmit their signals and the way it has been installed all over town. Our service is very intermittent; it works ok for a little while, and then it doesnt work at all. There have been numerous times, especially over the last couple of weeks (since they were working on a line outside our building on Elkhorn Avenue) that I have typed in long letters to people I needed to communicate with, and then because of bajas horrible service those notes are completely lost. They have wasted a huge amount of my time when Ive had to start all over again. We are intermittently kicked off the internet when we are watching a video, the news, or other things we are involved in. Todays tech (who was actually a nice guy and who seemed frustrated himself over this issue) said that baja only sends 2 techs up to Estes daily for service calls, and since this problem is happening all over town they spend all day getting bounced around from one dissatisfied customer to another with the same problems, and they have to tell everyone the same thing he told us, and since bajas management refuses to put on the necessary number of technicians thats all they get done, and the actual problem doesnt get addressed at all, ever. He says that he himself has had to go around and around with the management trying to get something done to correct it, and its like talking to a brick wall. Yep, were not giving you what we promised you. We arent giving you what youre paying for. We dont care enough about you as customers to do anything about it, so if you dont like it, thats just tough. Were just going to keep on lying to you and ripping you off. It must suck to be you is what Im hearing them say to us. So I really would like to know; how did Estes Park get stuck with this company? Who got paid off?
