But God didnt promise an easy life, which is why He still offers His all-surpassing Joy through hardship. Even in suffering, we can still know the Joy of The Lord, keeping faith in Him that sufferings are not in vain. Dont let the modern church fool you into thinking that His joy is a bubbly, giddy excitement allowing you to live a happy-go-lucky lifestyle. That is not true joy, and if youre in a spot in your life where youre not bouncing with giggles, it doesnt mean the Joy of The Lord is not within you, or out of your reach. Take rough times as an opportunity to seek the Lord, asking Him to reveal to you and bless you with His true joy. Dont thank Him for hardships, but thank Him for the glory towards His kingdom that can come of them. Thank Him for the assurance that we can rest in the Joy of the Lord wherever we may find ourselves.
