Im just gonna quote Dennis, since he already said it so well : For some time Ive been preaching about the anti-democratic and anti-Democratic (party) Republican actions detailed in this article. Now that they have become known to some extent, it is time to reverse their pernicious effects. One of the most important is to expand our base of ACTIVE Democrats and take the next national elections (14, 16, 18, 20) by large enough margins that the voter suppression legislation passed by the Republicans fails to deliver the wins they need. Beyond that, we need to take back as many statehouses as possible in 2020 so that we can un-gerrymander as many House districts as we can manage. Beyond that, the methods of electing Representatives must be made gerrymander-proof for the long term. Some new form of one person, one vote balloting needs to be developed so that all legislative bodies can approach as nearly as possible the actual wishes of the entire, unencumbered electorate.
