Im just making it in from my sisters home. My children were waiting on me to walk in. They ran to me, screaming Mommy, Mommy! We love you! Youre the best Mom...& the best cook! I needed that smile, that tenderness, that unconditional love. Thats the same love my Mother had for her daughters. She made sure to tell us daily that she loved us. Even in her weakest moments when she couldnt verbalize it, her eyes said it. Its taking everything in me not to break down in front of them again. Ironically, they are the very reasons that Im NOT breaking down right now. Their voices, their smiles, their tiny fingers & toes, how they are playing & interacting with one another right now (yes, at 1 AM)...These things are melting my heart. Their Granny has become THEIR angel now instead of them being hers, as we all know she referred to them as such. They dont understand this type of pain. All they know is love, & thats all I NEED them to know. To my sisters Zahira Smith, Maggie Smith, & Cheri Savoy, I love you all soooo much! We have to stand strong together. Our bond will grow & strengthen during times like these. We are her children & she would want us closer than ever before from this day forward. Remember, shes watching. I can hear her voice right now. Rest in Paradise, Mommy, my Queen! We will continue to make you proud. We will continue to laugh, love, & let God guide us through. Tell my Father & my other family & friends up there in Heaven that I said hello & Ill see you all when I make it there. Dont wait up... you know I show up late to everything! ☺😇😚🙇🙏👸👼🌹🌈🌅
