Im laying in bed right now, jamming to some George Strait and watching videos and interviews of other artists speaking on The King. I know like always, there will always be critics, nit picking at every thing he does, but he will always be my favorite country singer. He is honestly the only thing on the radio considered country. I remember listening to the radio as a child and singing, well trying to sing along to the lyrics I quite yet didnt understand. Now that I am older, listening to those same songs..I cant help feeling a little nostalgic. I think most of us grew up with his music around. Even if you arent country any Texan, or person can recognize that mans voice within seconds. Sometimes I do cry listening to his songs no matter how upbeat they are. A man who I have never met, and doubt Ill ever meet, a complete stranger give me a sense of life and freedom. Every song of his is tied to a special memory, whether it may be the way my dressed back in the day to the roadtrips we took, where the hill country was the only companion we had. It honestly amazes me that as his career on the road is coming to an end, so are my years of childish things closing in. Its somewhat a bittersweet lesson, at least to me it is. But besides that, HE MAKES TEXAS PROUD !!!!!
