Details are below: Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Annual Volunteerism Luncheon The Honourable Steve Kent, Minister Responsible for the Office of Public Engagement, will speak at the annual volunteerism luncheon organized by the Community Sector Council. The event takes place tomorrow (Thursday, January 30), at 12:00 noon at the Bally Haly Country Club, 100 Logy Bay Road, St. John’s. Minister Kent will be joined by guest speaker Dr. Andrew Furey, an orthopedic surgeon and assistant professor of surgery at Memorial University. As co-founder and president of Team Broken Earth, Dr. Furey was named Memorial’s Alumnus of the Year for 2012, and the team has been widely recognized for its relief efforts in Haiti.
