Im looking to mount my dual band vertical higher than it is now. I know the ultimate fix for this would be a nice 50 foot tower, but I dont see any around here for sale at the moment. My option are either a tripod on the house (2 story), or putting together say 30 feet of 16 gauge mast from rat shack and supporting the bottom 6 feet by attaching it to a fence post, and then maybe a couple guy wires. I dont have any trees suitable for this. Thoughts??
