Im nearly finished with RPMs 1/72nd Ford Model T Ambulance M1917. It looks a bit small. I hadnt checked the scale. Not a terrible kit but parts fit took me a lot of sanding and a little cutting. Assembled there was a good bit of filling and sanding, but I guess thats what we do, and I think Im going to end up with a fine little piece. Ill let youall be the judge of the finished impression. In a big way for me its the poignancy, I guess, of the subject that attracted me to the model. A World War 1 ambulance that can be marked for American or French Service. The availability now of quality WW1 figures in 1/72, if I do find that sometimes illusive continuity of scale; could make for a fine diorama, maybe with an Emhar Whippet, or other tank or vehicle. I should finish paint and markings this coming week. Hey guys Ive been in Orlando for a year now, much of which was in and out of the hospital with complications of diabetes. Ill have good use of whats left of the undercarriage as I get squared up with a prosthetic left leg, but for the moment I dont drive and havent really hooked up with modelers here yet. I was sporatically with Mid-Carolina Swamp Fox IPMS, and would like to meet some modelers and go to some meetings. If anybody sees this post and knows whats up with modelers in Maitland and thereabouts (Orlando address but everything says Maitland, in fact I live in Maitland Park), please shoot me off an email to dpstutts@yahoo, or contact me here, Thanks a bunch, Douglas Douglas P.
