Im new at this activism or environmentalism, I dont really know any of the players out on this field.... in fact I dont consider myself any of those. I dont call it fighting a good fight either. I dont believe were fighting, we never started this fight. Im defending my homelands to my last breathe. The history of Indigenous people is written out on the lands and waters in the pictographs, the sacred sites, the burial grounds, the many many locations that hold our songs, ceremonies and medicines. My people are buried out there, the first treaty Chief of the lands my people are from is buried with his people near the waters that we traveled as our highways. These lands are my backyard. My prayers go out to far too many activists and environmentalists who seem to be in pretty toxic human created environments of gossip, trashing talking and just plain nastiness - from what I see anyway being relatively new at this. I refuse to participate in it so dont try to pull me into it, youre being duly warned - Ill just hug you and walk away. When we defend for the lands and waters, we need to remember, we cannot say we love the lands and waters ...and than in the same breath to be trashing each other. Our breath and our language carries the vibration of our energy. When we speak of land and water, we are speaking of life. Life is a beautiful energy. Tapwe. Have a great day folks.
