Im no lawyer, also Im not a athlete with loads of cash. Ive tried to ignore this whole, Olympian shooting the Model court drama, but it was impossible. Instead I sat back, not throwing my 2 cents worth in every time it was discussed, rather stayed neutral, cause frankly, what happened had nothing to do with me. . I did however see how everybody was an expert suddenly siding with the rough and tough State Prosecutor. Like, they were there when it happened and that OP needed to be burned at the stake, now suddenly the tables kinda turned and people are changing their tune, I find that weird. I silently predicted that the case would pan out the way it did. My prediction had nothing to do with with the actual case, but more to do with Gerrie Nel and his Teams approach. Everybody loved his cross examination, hailed him as a Pit bull. But the little I heard was more badgering, and guns blasting, it was terrible mess, making OP look even more like innocent, and picked upon, the prosecutions case they tried to prove got lost in the noise. Barry Roux and his team, on the other hand was cool, calm, factual (even if it was/wasnt their own facts), and collected. They stuck to their guns instead of firing them at each and every opportunity, not shooting themselves in their own feet, or even their mouths off. Like in any confrontation you encounter in life, the side who kicks, screams, and throws toys usually loses against the person/party than stays cool calm and collected (guilty or not guilty, wrong or right).....All I know is Im glad it is over it should never have been televised.
