Im not 1 for pilgrimages, but SEEING the history of black civil - TopicsExpress

Im not 1 for pilgrimages, but SEEING the history of black civil rights was utterly heartbreaking and inspiring. I hope this travelogue inspires you. Joking around with the (infinitely patient) 8th graders but holding them accountable made my year and, hopefully, long-term professional relationships. Thinking deep thoughts with Jon Gross, Josh Lepke, Ashley Campbell Stege, Leah Schlecht, Shawn Sprewer, and Lance Meyer gave me even greater respect for what Saint Marcus teachers do. Finally getting the specific urban education of passion of Lea Crusey and Lauren Dachille at Students First made me wish I had it back then. Remember math and social studies videos with Ben Clark, Eric McGregor, Matt Stensberg Ben Villeneuve, Dan Gardner, Wyatt D. Dittburner, Rebecca Rosandić, and seeing where I am now made me miss them so much. Infinite thanks and love, as they say, to Donivan Berube and Jacquelyn Beaupré Berube from Blessed Feathers for their patience and lovely music. And now, another school year begins. Im ready.
