Im not a summer worshiper, but here are the reasons I love Vermont right now: 1.) Denise. After leaving her place (and we just dropped in unexpectedly! ) with our non gmo chicken, who lived a beautiful life with a loving family, I was struck with how much I adore this woman. She is a bright light, a Renaissance woman, a pioneer, who never takes without giving back ten fold. 2.) Isham Farm. Farmer Mike jokingly calls himself the lazy farmer with his PYO berries, cut-your-own Christmas trees, PYO pumpkins. He is anything but lazy! His place is pristine, he works sun up to sun down and enriches the community with field trips, education on sugaring, and countless other reasons! 3.) Honor system at farm stands. Put you money, get your change, leave a note in the unlocked strong boxes. 4.) It hasnt been oppressively humid too many days yet.
