Im not going to bang on about how disappointed I am that the people of Scotland didnt seize this opportunity for independence, but, we live in a democracy and I am thankful for that and for the chance to vote freely. Im glad that so many voted and I dont intend falling out with anyone who didnt vote the way I did. I had hoped so much that the Scottish people would follow the dreams of so many and seize the day. I personally want to see a Scotland that is fair and just, where we cherish our children and young people and also respect and treasure our elders. I want to see the sick and vulnerable supported and not demonised and I would really like to see the something for nothing ethos that makes up so much of the political expenses attitude exposed for the hypocrisy it is and banished. Today I am devastated, tomorrow I will pick myself up, dust myself off and get on with things. I really hope that there is a better future for us all. This is a small part of how I feel Denise, Tina and all my friends across the border, it was never about any kind of anti-English feeling, just a deep seated wish for Scotland to stand up and manage her own affairs.
