Im not going to make any excuses for Jim Johnson, yet itd be hard for any reliever to get going with the way that hes used now. The As need to trade him to the Marlins immediately or eat the contract and release him. Its hard for any reliever who gets used consistently to go pitching maybe four or five times a week, to maybe once every two weeks. Warming up in the bullpen is a lot different than facing live hitters. Hard to believe someone who saved 101 games combined the last two season, has gotten this bad. Its also not Melvins fault for not using him, he had his 11 game run where he looked good, yet the last five appearances in July have been ridiculously bad.
