Im not known for taking selfies, but this one is much needed. Today I was honored to find out I was voted in unanimously to become the newest member of the SOULS of HONOR - Public Page. Which for those who have been paying attention this summer, this is the amazing group that is a Veterans Support group. All the rides Ive done to raise money for the Never Forgotten Honor Flight, Inc. this year, have been ran by this group. They have accepted me as family, just as I have them throughout the past months. Every Honor flight leaving out of Mosinee, WI this group shows up early in the morning to help the vets get on the plane, and when they return are there to thank them for their service, then escort the busses from the airport to the Hotel, then thanks them one last time. This group has also raised thousands of money to be able to send WWII, Korean War Vets, as well as a few terminally ill Vietnam vets over to Washington DC to see their much earned memorial. Im proud to say this group is no longer They to me, it is now we as I am now part of the Souls of Honor! Special Thanks to everyone who voted me in, as well as Brian Anderson for being the first to approach me at Bike night and educate me about this group, as well as Tommie Swenson and Tammy Swikert for secretly finding out my vest size and who ever was responsible in putting this vest together for me to wear with pride. Looking forward to continuing to do my part in supporting todays veterans with you guys.
