Im not suggesting that we all go straight-edge. Im simply suggesting that we take time to reflect on and accept our imperfections instead of smiling in denial. Lying to ourselves and to each other by living in perpetual plastic positivity is just being negative. If we truly are a loving family like we claim to be, then we need to be honest with each other. What is love without trust? How do you trust without honesty? For the sake of preserving authenticity in this family, I am calling for a day of SOBER REFLECTION. I propose we spend one entire day substance-free. Swear on HomeTeam. Swear on OBJ. Swear on yourself. Swear on whatever you love that you will spend one day and night (all night) sober, from the time you wake up until you go to sleep.
