Im only sharing this to introduce people to the idea of mass filtering in lines, mathematically speaking. While every store that shop at in todays times has multiple checkout lanes to improves checkout times, as counter-intuitive as it may be, rather than giving us the freedom to choose our line, if we all stood in a single-file line and each cashier called us up when they were ready, wed actually go through checkout lanes faster than the method that we currently use. Again, it sounds counter-intuitive, but mathematically, the efficiency is much greater using the Ill call you when Im ready method which many banks employ instead rather than the grocery/big box retailer method that is in place today. Just a little geek-ery for your day :-)
