Im pissed off. Really pissed off. To all the physicians who prescribe or recommend that your patients do the HCG drops and dangerously low calorie diets to lose weight, ESPECIALLY without any attempt of teaching them ANYTHING about how their body functions, or without any attempt of referring them to a qualified nutritionist FIRST, or without any serious attempt of helping them start an exercise program…YOU ARE VERY IRRESPONSIBLE. I have at least 10 clients who Im helping RECOVER from the aftermath of HCG bullsh!t and it continues to be one of the most go to recommendations by physicians for their patients to lose weight. Well guess what docs…putting someone on HCG and starting them on a 500 or 600 or 700 or 800 calorie diet is STARVATION. When on Earth was that ever supposed to be healthy. Who the heck wont lose weight when they are STARVING themselves. Oh yeah, they will lose weight AT FIRST and along with that they will also lose their HEALTHY muscle AND SLOW DOWN their metabolism…so brilliant right? WRONG! So all of these people that have done HCG… have you followed up with them after a year??? Most likely not! Because they have not only gained ALL the weight back (because its the most UNREALISTIC diet ever) they have gained even more weight because the muscle they lost while starving themselves is NO LONGER helping them burn calories like it did before because its GONE! AND they didnt learn one darn thing about healthy eating habits or exercise. All you taught them was how to starve themselves and become even more unhealthy. So now these people have wasted money, time and put their health at even more risk. AND do you want to know why Im even MORE pissed off…I just got a phone call from MY MOM telling me that her physician wants her to do HCG! OH MY GOSH…thank goodness I was not with her in that office…poor DOC would have gotten an earful like never before. (I do plan on calling this physician tomorrow.) Ladies listen to me. If ANYONE EVER tries to put you on a dangerously low calorie diet, so low that they tell you, you CANNOT exercise while on this diet…RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! When on earth is exercise a bad thing? Are you freaking kidding me?! If it doesnt sound right ladies…ITS NOT RIGHT. Quick fixes are not quick and they are not going to fix anything. Stop wasting your money. Invest in learning how your body functions for optimal health. Invest on learning healthy eating habits and how to exercise for your fitness level. Invest on doing the HEARTwork and getting to the root of your emotions that hold you back. For YOUR sake, stop wasting money on fads, gimmicks and dangerously low calorie diets. FEED your body, workout, do the HEARTwork. YOU are worth every effort. STOP selling yourself short. Do your research. BE your own advocate. Ask questions. Be weary of any health professional (I use that term loosely) who doesnt take the time to teach you HEALTHY HABITS. That is all.
