Im posting this because not addressing this Gun issue - especially as a father - is irresponsible at this moment in our countries history. If you dont like my stance on this issue, please un-friend me. I will not start a dialogue with anyone who thinks NOTHING should change. I am also making this stance to perhaps be able to help change these laws & shield my kids from becoming one of those innocent bystanders - something that is NO LONGER a certainty for ANY OF US in this country. Let me be clear, you want to own a Gun, Im fine with that. But like me and others I know, men and women who are patriots of this country - we were trained in what having a gun means and how to use it. So, how about this crazy commonsense notion & approach to Gun control: You have to take Drivers Ed and a written test at the DMV to get your drivers license. Its about a 3-6 month process. Nobody questions this because youre EARNING the knowledge and the RIGHT to own & drive a vehicle - A 2-4 ton steel machine of death. Why not the apply the same laws & training to own a Gun - A .5 pound machine of death that is activated by your finger! You want a Gun, you have to EARN the right.
