Im present with this question of: Is expecting others to respect boundaries unfair, in the sense that it is expecting them to operate with a consciousness that they dont have? And if so, then what are boundaries, what exactly does it mean to set them, and what exactly happens when they are violated? If it is not a shameful act to violate boundaries (and here we get into Shame, and how destructive that emotion is for creating respect), then how do we regulate boundaries at all? And if we cant regulate boundaries with the expectation of respect, then what are boundaries at all? Hmm hmhmmm
