Im pretty critical of the notion of property in the sense of land/space ownership. In discussing this matter with people I realize that their natural sense of territory is misdirected with the legal abstraction of property. Property and territory are two separate things. An animal has a sense of territory, but the animal lives in and uses its territory. There is no sense of a territory belonging to an animal not present in the territory, nor belonging to a phantom animal that doesnt actually exist (like corporate entities owning property).
