Im probably going to lose friends over what I am about to say, but I need to get this off my chest: A lot of people are writing statuses about how people who immigrated, from other countries, who are not considered legal, are all bad moochers, and are lazy, and are all murderers, cartels, rapists, etc. The truth is, there are very wonderful people, amongst the people who arent the best contributors to societies, just as with any other group of people. As our ancestors did, they are moving themselves, and their families, from horrible areas, where their governments blatantly, and overtly inflict violence, oppress, take away access to resources, etc. Our government is not free from its corruption, and they are not angels, either, but there are others who have it worse. They want to move themselves, and their children, to a place they think is much better and has more opportunities for their children. They want to have a sense of safety, and security, for themselves, and themselves, just as you do. Citizenship is very HARD to get, in the U.s., and the questions on the exam are about things the average American Citizen does not know, and are worded in a way that is confusing. Most people would be deported from the U.S., if they had to take the exam, to stay in the U.S. These people who immigrate dont want to have to wait to get past the red tape rules and regulations, and if I had kids, I wouldnt, either. Some want to be citizens, work in the U.S., and love the U.S., and appreciate the things that are here, that they dont have, where they are from. Also, some of your fellow American Citizens are giving them jobs, perceiving them as lower than themselves and paying little money, if any, or giving them shelter without pay, or shoving them into harsh, unsafe shelters. They only want to use them, not help them. There are also many of your fellow citizens, even many in politics, who are murderers, rapists, drug dealers, thieves, liars, cheaters, etc. So, lets stop the stereotypes, racism, and closet racism. There are good and bad behaviors, regardless of immigration status or citizenship. People are less likely to suspect and profile Caucasian people, in the U.S. A lot of you making those posts dont even realize how racist you are being. You speak of the non-Caucasian immigrants, as if they are not beings. Its disgusting. We are all, as humans, one race: Human. Im not for destructive activities, either, but I am sophisticated and wise enough to know that these behaviors are not just confined to non-citizens or non-Caucasians. Peace, love, pay it forward, stay well, and take care of the planet, and all the species within it.
