Im reading a book and I really like it, but…the guy is a gypsy, culturally, and refers to himself and his family that way. I admittedly dont know anything about the culture, but I feel like thats wrong. Like the term is maybe offensive and not something that someone with that background would call themselves. Does anyone know if Im right about that or not? And what they would refer to themselves as instead? Do things like that, incorrect terminology when referring to a group of people in books, bother you?
