Im reading a lot of comments regarding the Weekley case and first for clarification, Joes attorney asked for a directed verdict after it was clear from the prosecutions case that there was no will or intent on Joes part to hurt Aiyana. Smart attorney that he is he pulled out his hole card, his ace of spades and it seems to have worked. Lets hope the court of appeals does not overturn the Judges ruling. If it remains at a misdemeanor all of the life has been taken out of the prosecutions case but the main thing is Joe wont serve any time. Now all we need is the jury to say not guilty so he can come back to work. In addition there have been several comments directed at the Wayne County Prosecutor ( Kym Worthy). The prosecutor is doing her job, its not pretty and we may not agree but it is her job, bashing her serves no purpose. Furthermore, me being Detroituncovered (smile) I usually know more than most, so I will just say Kym, (yes I said Kym because she is a friend) is not against us or Joe. The Joe Weekley I know is a very positive, with a good heart.. I dont think he would support the mean spirited negative comments coming from people on the I support Joe Weekley page. This page is supposed to be about lifting up Joe.
