Im reading a novel, toward the end, where the hero and heroine are reconciling. Shes holding their baby. While shes holding their baby, he takes both of her hands and kisses the palms, then presses her hands against his chest. Then she cradles his face in her hands. While still holding the baby. I guess shes balancing him on her shoulder? (Ive lost track, but I think hes only 4 or 5 months old at this point in the story.) I would hope that if I was writing a storyline that included a baby, my critique group would catch this kind of error. That someone would have said, But wait! What about the baby?!?
