Im reading the comment string attached to a post on the Thinking Atheist FB page in which the author discusses how offensive he finds it to have his family and friends post messages such as Happy Easter. He is risen into their FB feed when they know hes an atheist. In spite of the fact that I dont believe in God or any of the Christian myths, it would never occur to me to be offended by anyone posting Merry Christmas, Happy Easter, Good Passover, Happy Holy Ghost Day or anything else to do with their religion. Who cares? Its always interesting to be reminded of how eager so many people are to be offended and perceive themselves as trod upon. To me, posting Happy Easter is as innocuous as I hope people take my posts about horses or disgusting 70s recipes. Take what you need/want and leave the rest. Save your outrage for something that really matters. Kathryn Roberts
