Im really not one to announce culls on social media, and I dont really like deleting people, as were all different, and life is about freedom of expression. But. I use this horrible beast called Facebook for two reasons… my music business interests, and gentle banter with my (non virtual) friends. Recently, Ive found it impossible to use Facebook for either without feeling absolute contempt for people who just blindly wander into other peoples battles, pick up the flag and wave the banner is if it were their own. The spackery of people has surprised me, and I really do get how low-fi Facebook can be, so thats saying something. So, it has to stop for my own stress levels. And I dont intend on giving up my charity projects or band management because of it, so I need to reduce my network to business only, or those friends who help get me through the day with a smile. This doesnt mean Ive become judge and jury on people, Im trimming down to give myself a break from things for a while… I cant deal with thickies, bigots, and gossipers waving at me while I do my thing on here, and I seem to be pulled in by friends of friends a lot of the time thanks to FBs timeline. If I delete you, and you still want to connect, please do re-add me. Im not saying youre not liked, or that youre one of those guilty of bringing me down by any means, you just might not have been someone Im working with right now… and I dont have time to quality assess 2000 people! Ill probably get it all wrong and offend people, and I really dont want to, hence this status. Ill be trying to move the music related stuff over the specific pages I run. Itll probably take a while.
