Im sad to inform everyone who kept their fingers crossed and hoped for a more positive outcome that Sephies preschool has permanently closed. It was a really wonderful place that gave so much to so many families over the course of four decades and I feel very grateful we had our time there. Weve made some fantastic friends along the way and I am thrilled to be in contact with nearly everyone from the 2013-2014 school year. Thank you to everyone who helped support the school this year, from buying Klean Kanteens to offering ideas on raising awareness to just listening to me process my feelings on this. Maybe I shouldnt post this, but I still dont really understand how two churches could allow this to happen to a nonprofit school which served the Chico community for 40+ years. All the same, its time to move on. In that same vein, I have decided to enroll Sephie in the same school she attended for summer camp. I am lucky that there was room and that she will be attending with some of her friends from Chico Nursery School and am looking forward to the new adventure.
