Im safely back from Mongolia after a very cold but amazing cycling, trekking & horseback riding challenge - my eighth with Gulf for Good in 10 years. I distinctly remember saying about 5 years ago that I was done with 2-man tents, & also done with challenges in cold countries. So I did wonder once or twice last week how on earth I ended up camping in temperatures of minus 15 degrees in the Mongolian countryside - when I needed to wear about 6 layers of clothing!! GREAT experience though, with a really lovely group of people - & our Mongolian Guides were excellent. It was great to get back to the warmth of Dubai this morning though - so its a WARM challenge at sea level for me next methinks!!
