Im seeing all these status updates on Elf on the Shelf. So I thought Id share. We forgot what we named our elf. So I created the Elf on the Shelf pilot program. Its my kids job to train the new elf for their life as an Elf on the Shelf. Our Elf always has an interesting back story. To go along with that, so does the North Pole of today. Toy building elves are rare theses days b/c Santa works with major retailers to place orders before the holiday rush. I have spun a great story on how instead of laying off tons of elves, Santa created new positions for them (mall Santas, Elf on the Shelf, ect). Yes its all fiction, but its also fun and Im gonna take the magic while I can get it. Im hoping that I am building on their imagination and when my littles graduate from the believers to the magic makers, I hope they will enjoy making the magic as much as experiencing. Im preparing today for the arrival of our Elf, he will be lots of fun this year.
