Im sharing this because it needs to be noted there are people out there who are this ignorant. we need to make it a point of order to not be like this woman. She obviously has no idea how service works, how restaurants work, and has pulled numbers out of her ass. For one I dont think many waiters handle more then 10 on a normal night. Second in what reality is 2.37 an hour a living wage? Even the most hard line businessman would agree that is too low a wage without anything else on top of that. Also this lady is not hurting for money given she considers 45 dollars for 2 to be at a low end establishment. Im sorry my average meal when I go out is 10-15 not 22 dollars. Anyways I could go on about this all day but if you ever have any doubts about tipping talk to a waiter and find out what they actually do and how much they generally make, it not going to be super high unless you are at a 5 star restaurant
