Im sitting here in a completely quiet room, getting ready to start the last full day of church camp. Ill be honest...Im beyond exhausted. This has been the LONGEST week of camp ever. But, I cant help but really think about how people have made this week happen. Our faculty and jr faculty here are honestly the best Ive had in 11 years of doing this week, and they have stepped up to the challenge of being Gods love to all these kids in the face of all this and have loved them fiercely. The staff this week...amazing as always, but noticed more as we gave them the opportunity to leave for the week after David was killed...ALL OF THEM STAYED AND HAVENT MISSED A BEAT! The memorial service is tonight...we decided to do pizza for all these kids and faculty so that the kitchen help and staff doesnt have to stay any longer than needed...called the church and got money from missions to help cover this cost, but have a couple families from the church coming over to help serve so we can go on without being shorthanded...IT HAS ALL BEEN THE PEOPLE! Jesus had His that He trusted and counted on in order to get the message of God out to people. Without getting into all the details, God has definitely placed each and every one of people here this week intentionally...it really is amazing how it has all worked out. Which, now that I think about it, why wouldnt it? Weve asked God to take this week of camp and guide us for the past 8 months!
