Im sitting in the Portland airport, waiting to fly to New York to start doing Official Book Things, and even though my book comes out tomorrow, I still feel like maybe this whole thing is going to turn out to be a prank where I think I spent two years writing a book, but really it was all an elaborate set-up, and my editor is going to be waiting for me at the terminal with a bucket full of water balloons and a sign that says HAHA, SUCKER — YOU REALLY THOUGHT THE BOOK WAS REAL. Anyway, Im supposed to tell you a bunch of things, but Ive been putting it off because I feel obnoxious every time I have to do book things at you, so here is the abridged version of everything I waited until the last second to tell you: Here is my book page: hyperboleandahalfbook.blogspot/ I am going to be doing some book signings, and if you want an animal picture, youre in luck, because thats my favorite thing to draw on books. You may also draw pictures for me if you wish. Ill be collecting them to hang on my refrigerator. There is a hardcover edition of my book available now (its been available for a while, but Im bad at this), and my publisher isnt sure whether we printed enough copies. So if you want a hardcover and you dont want to possibly have to wait for a second print run, it might be a good idea to order in the next couple days, just to be safe (see book page for ordering options). Also, if you happen to be in the Portland Airport, you have 50 minutes to find me. Go.
