Im so Trenton...what about the V Bar with Long Goody. Swimming at Bakers Basin our resort at the time then upgraded to Twin Dukes in Princeton, Hetzel Pool, Reservoir Pool, The Old Record Gallery and Ace Record Shop with SCOOP What about JR 1 Eartha Lee Downing Dance Troupe, I remember the boys had a set of stairs and girls had a set of stairs at Jr 1. What about Zeb Jones who was our James Cleveland. You remember the Ranch House and Pix with the shoestring fries and the 1st fast food with 10 cent hamburgers. The Hot Dogs at Sears and the hoagies at Kresge.The Garden movie theater we were not allowed to go there, what about going roller skating every Sat at the Capitol Roller Ring on Lalor Street with someone playing the Organ while you skated. I remember walking to the movies down Princeton Ave to Warren street and the ladies were out with a bucket, scrubbing their stoops. I remember if you lived on Spring street, Belluve Ave, Edgewood, jarvis place that was high society. Thanks God for all the wonderful memories and we all have plenty from all the house parties, cook outs, Cabarets, hanging in the bars and there were plenty that was fun and safe. Thanks to the Thetas, the Omegas, the Sigs and the Emos. Thanks for Sports Night at Trenton High and all the Talented and gifted people that came from Trenton. I like to shout a thank you to Ntozake Shange (Paulette Williams) who has inspired so many young Black girls, Clifford Adams who is a member of Kool and the Gang who is giving back to our children,,music and the arts are so important for out children, we have to get it back in our schools and the values and the love, and care we all grew up with. Love you Trenton...
