Im so angry at govt healthcare. My cousin Ed has multiple things wrong with his heart and because of his genetic problems with kidneys is not a candidate for invasive heart operations. He qualifies for hospice care but has rejected that for psychological reasons. In Jan. he drove himself to ER barely able to breathe and gasping oxygen as he entered the hospital. Ever since hes been trying to get Medicare and Medicaid to approve him having oxygen available to him at home, but based on the rules and guidelines of the govt he cant get approved. Last week he went through a sleep study because the docs thought that would be a way to get him approved. Again he just missed the number the govt has assigned as whats needed to qualify for oxygen. Yesterday he stopped into a medical supply place to ask them about the rules. He was told that Bill Gates could come through the door with a prescription from his doc and litter the floor with thousand dollar bills hes willing to pay for oxygen but if he didnt meet the govt requirement he couldnt get it either no matter how much money he threw at them.
