Im so glad to be a part of this group. Bruno is 15 months old, and our second standard. We had the lovely Lola, who was black, and who we lost last year. Bruno is a great dog, but every once in a while, he gets all worked up (out of the blue), and jumps and bites me (he doesnt break the skin, but it bruises and HURTS!) I often have bruises on my arms, and sometimes legs. Hes a big boy - 54 lbs - and Im getting REAL tired of this. It mostly happens when were in the back yard. It was explained to me by a dog whisperer that he is a passive dog who doesnt detect a pack leader, and that he has to take this job, which he does not want. Were doing all thats recommended (going out the door first, not feeding him til after we eat, etc.) but I would LOVE to get past this! Heres my handsome boy...
