Im so happy for my trainer Buddy Brown for his win tonight in the $25k Hunter Grand Prix at Del Mar on his own horse Joey. When I began riding with Buddy he had just gotten Joey in to the barn and his prospects for becoming a happy competitive horse were slim- much less becoming such a consistent competitor in huge, formidable classes. I always aspire to learn from the best and Buddy has once again proven he is just that. He has used his skills as a horseman (and amazing rider) to show Joey the joy that comes with a job well done and Joey wants to win. I could not be more proud or happy to have witnessed this amazing transformation and the very much deserved success that is following amazing love and horsemanship!
