Im so proud of my cousin Rob Gerk! He is the first person to receive gene therapy for regrowth and to regain his hearing. I remember when he lost his hearing to meningitis, I remember the difficulties his family and Robby had. But, through the years, Robby and his family overcame the challenges and Robby succeeded in becoming such a talented and awesome individual who never let his hearing loss stop him from achieving his goals and dreams. I know in my soul that the bravery and Willingness Robby has demonstrated will become the foundation for this groundbreaking procedure. His desire to defeat hearing loss and make a difference in this world and the lives he touches is truly remarkable. Im so proud of Robby Gerk, he is successful and I know this procedure will be successful too!
