Im so very tired of constant attacks by Climate Change denialists! A quarter century ago, a consensus formed among contemporary scientists specializing in the study of the climate. The consensus comprised one principal idea - the primary source of energy on which industrial civilization relied – the burning of fossil fuels – was dangerously increasing the temperature of the earth. If 97% of the scientists are 95% sure that there is a direct “correlation” between an increase in CO2 in the atmosphere and an increase in mean global temperatures and that anthropogenic CO2 is the “cause”…… then I think that it would be prudent for us to err on the side of caution and act on that consensus. Here it is in a nutshell. If we ( those that understand and except the science ) are wrong, then the worst part will be that our actions and attempts to mitigate anthropogenic climate changes will lead to a cleaner healthier planet. If they ( deniers ) are wrong and we listened to them, we, and future generations, are essentially screwed. It seems like it would be pretty straight forward to any rational think person.... the problem is the deniers arent rational and therefore it does no good to argue with them.
