Im sorry but I TOTALLY disagree with this article. My children love the elf on the shelf. They ask everyday when he is coming back. Its such a shame that now-a-days, anything can be turned into something negative. Even something as innocent as the elf on the shelf or a Mensch on a bench. Our elf doesnt report back to Santa with just the naughty things our children do but also the good things they do. Our elf, does naughty things too... Letting our children know that no one is perfect & we all make mistakes & messes sometimes. There has always been a naughty & nice list. As parents we are always reminding our children that Santa is watching. The elf is just a new fun tradition for families to enjoy together. I cant stand when others have to take a fun thing & twist it into something that shouldnt be. Theres no harm in it at all. People should be more focused on spreading the holiday cheer than trying to damper others holiday cheer. Theres a lot other things in this world that people should be focusing on stopping & changing. Let the elf on the shelf & the Mensh on the bench live on. Pick on someone your own size.
