Im sorry, but John McCain is an idiot. I used to have respect for him, and I would also defer to his service to our country, and the fact that he was respected for being a maverick, in the senate. No more. If you want to understand the problems with gridlock in Washington, look no further than John McCain. He needs to retire. He is still fighting the Vietnam war, and the election he lost. If you cant move on, then retire and let someone younger, smarter and more respectful do your job. McCain is an embarrassment. Trying to make cheap points, by attempting to embarrass the Presidents FORMER press secretary, Jay Carney, is beneath the integrity of the office you hold. You should apology, and retire. The fact that media outlets like CNN and NBC still showcase McCain, as a viable source, also brings to light and questions their choices. McCain - like others- makes himself readily available, for all the news shows, because he cannot get enough of the limelight, and is trying to stay relevant nationally - he is not. I now firmly believe that the media creates more conflict than it reports. They have become instigators not relevant news reporters. If you take the time to read Fact Checker, you will see that Iraq refused to guarantee our military men and women protections from prosecution, if anything went wrong. We have these protections anywhere we leave troops behind, and especially at the bequest of the country in question. Not only would Iraq not request that we leave a residual military presence behind, but hey would not guarantee their protections from criminal prosecutions. Our top military brass would not agree to this untenable situation. Finally, Iraq insisted that we remove all troops, according to the agreement forged, and signed, by George Bush. Get your facts right Senator McCain, and retire, as soon as possible.
