Im stuck on this issue here. Lets be clear on one thing, I have no tolerance for violence against women but should this end his career? At first glance, even I said hell yes but the more I think about it and the fact his wife has now come out against whats happened to him speaks volumes. He is one of the 1% of the 1% of the 1% who make it to the NFL. It takes intelligence, dedication, skill, talent and a little bit of luck to make it there in a world that rewards you for your animalistic features. Were talking aggression, anger, strength, cruelty... thats what comes out on that field. The NFL is extremely stressful on players pushing them to the edge every single day in training and in games. Some people have trouble handling that stress and lash out unexpectedly. Lets be clear again... Im not excusing what he did (hitting his wife repeatedly) but you are forgetting who this man is and how he has been groomed. Shouldnt he, at the very least, be given the opportunity to change with all the support he has from his wife? Again, not saying hitting his wife is acceptable but even she doesnt think the treatment is fair to someone no one else know. Thoughts?
