Im such a smartass sometimes. Mister hipster got in to a cab and takes out his smartphone... I know it sounds pompous already, but to be fair, the driver was claiming he never hear of Larrard st. I tried to explane that this street is the one that goes to park güell. - I think this is a good point of rerence for a taxi driver, specially a local one, being the main touristic attraction that it is, wouldnt you? - but he still nod his head as if he was clueless of what I was talking about or where it was, but never the less started the car saying well find it... well find it. Reeally? Ok. So I got somewhat twitchy and unconfortable at that moment, and rapidly said something like: can we please take this road? as I hold up my phone displaying google maps on it. The old guy turned slightly, and looking at me with just the back part of his eye, went: Sure - quite abruptly and with a witty grin on his face. And as he was turning back his attention to the road, he said he was, actually, planning on taking marina road, but what I wanted worked as well. So I had to check! Took back my phone out... As it turns out it would of been actually faster to go his way, even if it seemed longer in distance. - Shit! And when I was awere of this and got on the same page as the taxi driver was. I was able to watch him really enjoy himself. Haha... Asshole! He kicked back a little down on his sit. And smiled in every red light and every extra turn we had to take because I wanted this route. I enjoyed him enjoy the situation. And I had to laugh at myself... We bearly spoke the whole ride. So there... Well played mister old right-ear-deaf taxi driver guy. Thats what he said! as I was paying him and going out of the cab simply added; That he couldnt understand me at the beginning because hes almost deaf on the right hear... Well played sir! Good day... I said Good day!!!
