Im supposed to write an artist bio and I dont know what to say. If I could sell myself I might actually look for a real job. Anyhow: Im Scott Sorensen, artist and lifelong resident of Jackson. My work was first shown around 2006 at Video Cafe (now defunct), then Gravity Gallery in Clinton (now defunct), then Mishkas Gallery and ArtiChoke Gallery (both now defunct). In 2012 I had a solo exhibit at the Mississippi Arts Center, which to my knowledge is still in business. Since then Ive enjoyed moderate success selling art from my tent in a friends back yard, where Ive also been building geodesic domes and spheres for when the SHTF. My latest project has been the re-animation of dead societies by applying gradual amounts of truth. I am also interested in the use of solar power to re-animate corpses.
